Quick update on a new restaurant for Center City. The Chip Roman project we reported at the beginning of February now has a name: The Treemont.
Roman, who also owns or co-owns Conshohocken’s Blackfish and Tradestone Cafe, Chestnut Hill’s Mica and Ela in Queen Village, tells The Insider the name is an homage to his grandmother. The Treemont is going into the ground floor of the Aria Condominiums in the former Tietra space, and will serve “seafood-centric, modern American” food. A mid-April opening is targeted.
