Distract yourself from the fact that the weekend isn't here yet with these special dishes offered only on Thursday nights. From beef to banh mi - check out the options below and do bookmark this page for your future Thursday eating enjoyment.

The newcomer: Stock in Trade in the Marina unveils Prime Rib Thursdays starting tonight (April 10). Get a 12-ounce slab of prime rib with demi-glace jus, horseradish mash, creamed spinach and Yorkshire bread pudding ($24). 2036 Lombard Street; 415-829-3000.

The classic: It's Thanksgiving every Thursday at the 76-year-old Union Square institution Sears Fine Food. Stop in for roast breast of turkey with sourdough dressing, glazed carrots, mashed potatoes, natural gravy and cranberry sauce ($16.95). 439 Powell Street; 415-986-0700.

The pop-up: Pull up a little red plastic chair as Vietnamese roaming restaurant Rice Paper Scissors serves dinner at Mojo Bicycle Cafe on Thursdays from 6-10 PM. The menu ($9-13, also available to go) includes items such as pork and vegetarian banh mi sandwiches, vegetable yellow curry and mushroom pho rolls. 639 Divisadero Street; 415-440-2370.

The bar hang: Parkside surfer hangout, The Riptide does DIY grilled cheese sandwiches from 4-7 PM, Thursdays only. Pack on the carbs and cheese to refuel after a surf session...or just because. 3639 Taraval Street; 415-681-8433.
