Two Don’t Miss Dinners at Bistrot La Minette

The prix-fixe dinners at Bistrot La Minette are always an incredible deal - we’re really not sure how chef-owner Peter Woolsey does it - and there are two coming up that you’ll want to score reservations for on the quick.

Woolsey says his current sous chefs are the best he’s ever had, and so he’s handing them the keys to the Bella Vista bistro for their own dinner. This Wednesday and Thursday, August 28 and 29, Nich Bazik and Paul Carrier will present four courses of fine French fare for just $35 per person. Look for white asparagus soup, fried sweetbreads and goat cheese financiers, and don’t skip the wine pairing - it’s just $15 additional.

This year marks five years in business for the quaint Bainbridge Street dining room, and on Wednesday and Thursday, September 18 and 19, Woolsey is celebrating with a special anniversary menu. Five courses with two options for each are filled with rich flavors - porcini and artichoke soup with seared foie gras sounds like decadent autumn in a bowl - and run $55 per person. There will be $5 drink specials all night, and reservations will go fast (215-925-8000).

Filet Mignon à la Sauce au Vin Rouge
