Great news for fans of the Danny Meyer's iconic Union Square Cafe: the famed restaurant that was forced to move due to a rent hike at the end of this year, won't be going too far. USC will set up shop in the nearby City Crab space at 235 Park Avenue South. "What could be more fun than the challenge of designing a 30-year-old start-up?” said Danny Meyer, USHG Founder and CEO in a press statement. “We’re especially grateful to our many neighbors and friends for their suggestions and for cheering us on as we search for our new home. I could never imagine taking the Union Square out of Union Square Cafe, and I’m relieved and thrilled that we solved the puzzle."

The menu will also get a bit of a reboot—classic favorites will remain but expect new seasonal dishes and a redesigned interior by the Rockwell Group.

Union Square Cafe will close in its current location at the end of December 2015 and will reopen at its new address in spring of 2016.
