This weekend is all about fall flavors, from fresh apple cider to pumpkin-flavored donuts. Savor the season with a new brunch menu at The Promontory or a wine dinner at Fat Rice.

Back by popular demand, it’s Firecake’s old-fashioned pumpkin pie donut. The spiced pumpkin cake 'nut is filled with a silky pumpkin-pie mousse.

A new brunch menu hits plates at The Promontory in Hyde Park. Feast on ash-roasted beet salad as well as potato gnocchi lobster hash or matsutake mushroom quiche. Brunch is served from 9 AM-3 PM on Saturday and Sunday.

Green City Market spends its last Saturday in Lincoln Park. After this weekend, the market flees indoors for the season. Stop by for the pick of Seedling cider, Nomad pizza and other seasonal treats.

Tippling Hall's impressive seven-page cocktail menu — designed by the Tippling Brothers — features draft, frozen, hot and two-fisted drinks. The most Chicago-centric of the bunch is the Deep Dish Manhattan, made with Koval whiskey, Carpano vermouth, Averna and Malort.

Abe Conlon and Adrienne Lo of Fat Rice will craft a six-course menu focused on the Douro Valley and their experiences there during a trip in 2013. The evening's dishes will be paired with wines from Quinta do Infantado in Douro, Portugal. Seats for Friday’s dinner cost $160 and are available online.
