A night on the town for Christmas might not be traditional, but in Philadelphia it's a whole lot of fun. This year we've got midnight movies, French feasts and dinners inspired by classic holiday films.

Pizza of the Seven Fishes at Slice
What: If seven courses from the sea seems like a little much, this local chain of pizzerias has a pie that will do you right. Topping a garlicky white pie with anchovies, sardines, clams, tuna, mussels, shrimp and crab makes for a one-and-done take on the Christmas Eve tradition.

When: Now through December 24

Where: Multiple locations

A Christmas Story at Red Owl Tavern
What: Taking a cue from the holiday classic, the restaurant on the ground floor of the Hotel Monaco (pictured above) is going full Ralphie with a two day pop-up taken straight from A Christmas Story. Expect Chinatown-inspired fare and throwback tiki cocktails. No word yet on the leg lamps and frozen flagpole situation.

When: December 24–25

Where: 433 Chestnut St.; 215-923-2267

Feast of the Seven Fishes at Amis
What: The Italian holiday meal is getting a Roman spin at Vetri’s 13th Street trattoria (pictured above). Look out for crisp baccala croquettes and pizza al taglio topped with clams, plus swordfish meatballs and monkfish piccata. Desserts such as a coconut cake with yogurt semifreddo end the meal on a sweet note.

When: December 23

Where: 412 S. 13th St.; 215-723-2647

Dîner de Noël at Bistrot La Minette
What: Christmas in France can be quite indulgent, and the Noël spread at this Queen Village destination (pictured below) isn't skimping on the good stuff. A six-course meal highlights everything from porcinis and foie gras to scallops, white asparagus and oysters, all paired with regionally attuned French pours and plenty of bubbly.

When: December 15–30 (closed Christmas Day)

Where: 623 S. Sixth St.; 215-925-8000

Jewish Christmas at Zahav
What: This year Zahav is heading to the streets of Cambodia to fuel its yearly pre-Christmas party. Expect copious cocktails, karaoke, a midnight movie and a menu of papaya salad, char-grilled skewers and sticky rice, plus lots of late-night revelry at this seventh-annual celebration. Tickets are available here.

When: December 23

Where: 237 St. James Place; 215-625-8800
