While there are countless ways to celebrate a new year, getting dolled up and heading out to eat on December 31 ranks pretty high atop the list of choices. Atlanta's dining choices are vast, so here are 14 can't-miss special New Year's Eve options to say goodbye to 2013 and hello to next year.
4th & Swift: The Old Fourth Ward's 4th & Swift delivers a four-course meal with seasonal selections ($85 per person, $40 extra for wine pairings; 678-904-0160).
Agave: Cabbagetown's Southwestern standby Agave has a five-course tequila dinner, featuring Herradura tequila, starting at 9 PM. Courses include spicy shrimp-and-chorizo gumbo, chile-and-lime grilled swordfish and beef short ribs braised in Mexican beer ($100 per person; 404-588-0006).

Hobnob Neighborhood Tavern: Midtown's Hobnob offers its regular menu up until 10 PM, but from 10:30 PM to 2:30 AM switches over to an all-you-can eat pizza buffet with unlimited beer and champagne. Live music, too ($25 per person; 404-968-2288).
Imperial Fez: Multiple seatings throughout the night make for a flexible five-course dinner at Atlanta's Moroccan mainstay. The Optimist: Westside seafood hotspot The Optimist has a wide-ranging four-course menu for celebrants. Veni Vidi Vici: Midtown's Veni Vidi Vici offers a four-course Italian extravaganza. Selections include smoked trout or grilled eggplant, among others, to start, gnocchi in an oxtail argue or lobster tortelloni to follow, and boar, bass, scallops and much more for a main.
