Aria - one of the city's finest restaurants according to Zagat diners - is hosting its first wine dinner of the new year on Wednesday, January 8. Guest sommelier Matt Bradford of Canoe and its wine shop Cellar Door - we chatted with Bradford last month when Cellar Door opened - is helping curate the restaurant's meal. Bradford's selections come from California's Cade and Plumpjack wineries. Aria chef-owner Gerry Klaskala has plans for a six-course meal to pair with the following five Napa Valley wines:

Cade, Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley 2012

Plumpjack, Reserve Chardonnay, Napa Valley 2012

Cade, Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley Cuvée 2009

Cade Estate, Cabernet Sauvignon, Howell Mountain 2010

Plumpjack, Syrah, Napa Valley 2011

Dinner costs $100 per person, and starts at 7 PM.
