This year's list of semifinalists included a number of Georgia chefs and restaurants, but only two Atlantans made the cut as actual nominees in the national running. Miller Union's Steven Satterfield was nominated in the Best Chef: Southeast category, and (now-San Diego-based) RIchard Blais (Juniper & Ivy, The Spence, Flip) is a finalist in the General Cooking Book Awards category for his Try This at Home: Recipes from My Head to Your Plate.
This year's award ceremony takes place on Friday, May 2 and Monday, May 5.
