Which ATL Names Made the James Beard Semifinalists?

By Christopher Hassiotis  |  February 19, 2014

Semifinalists for the 2014 James Beard Awards were announced this morning, and Atlanta (Decatur and Athens, too!) continues to cement its status as one of the nation's prime dining cities. Local chefs and restaurants received acclaim in many categories, from the established (Bacchanalia, Miller Union) to the new (Kimball House, The General Muir). The ATL presence is below, and you'll find the entire (long) list of nominations here. What's missing? We got no nods in the Outstanding Pastry Chef, Outstanding Restaurant and Outstanding Wine, Spirits, or Beer Professional categories, among a few others. The final Restaurant and Chef Award nominations come on Wednesday, March 19, as do the nominations for the Book, Journalism, Broadcast, and Restaurant Design awards. Let us know how you feel about this year's nominations in the comments or via Twitter.
