Cruzado Closed for Good, Urban Cannibals Temporarily

Cruzado, the Cuban restaurant tucked away in the middle of Midtown's residential Fifth Street, has closed permanently. Cruzado opened in 2012 in the space formerly occupied by neighborhood favorite Las Palmeras. Executive chef Carlos Collazo is currently cooking at Villains Wicked Heroes, including for the next two Monday nights when his Puerto Rican-food pop-up PR184 takes center stage.

East Atlanta's sandwich-and-sundries shop Urban Cannibals is closed through Tuesday, March 11. Co-owner Doria Roberts is undergoing surgery, and none of the sweets, biscuits or crepes she makes will be available until she's fully recovered in mid-April.
