Every other Tuesday Zagat Atlanta highlights what’s missing food-wise around town. Whether it's where you live, work or just hangout, every neighborhood needs more choices, right?
Although Smyrna and the surrounding Cobb County 'burbs have been on the rise for the past decade and boas way more dining choices than they used to, Zagat Atlanta reader @SassySouthSays does see something lacking, and wants more options especially when it comes to Asian selections:
@ZagatAtlanta Smyrna: Organic grocery. Target. Trader Joe’s. More Ramen, Pho & sushi options!— Sassy South (@SassySouthSays) March 31, 2014
@ZagatAtlanta I’m still bitter about TOMO moving to Buckhead.— Sassy South (@SassySouthSays) March 31, 2014
It's true that when Tomohiro Naito moved Tomo Japanese Restaurant to Buckhead's Ritz-Carlton residences several years ago, there was a gap in the high-end sushi world in the neighborhood. But Maru Sushi, Kuroshio Sushi and Hoki Japanese Restaurant, though neither technically in downtown Smyrna nor as artful as Tomo, are nearby and all solid visits. Pho, on the other, hand, is tougher. We've heard good things about Pho Hoang Long, the restaurant attached to Marietta's Huang Long Oriental Market.
