It's Friday — time to quit working for the weekend and start planning out your brunch(es). On Fridays we highlight an ATL brunch spot worth a visit. Let us know your favorite place in the comments below or via Twitter.

The Spot: Food 101

The Gist: Our rundown earlier this week of Atlanta's best breakfast burgers took us to Food 101, the Sandy Springs eatery in the same family as Cibo e Beve and the Downtown barbecue joint Smoke Ring, as well as the Meehan's chain of Irish pubs. The kitchen focuses on recognizably American dishes given the occasional Southern accent, and the deep brunch menu's loaded with options both light and hearty.

Eat This: An omelet ($14) with smoked chicken, creamy fontina cheese, sweet peppers and peppery arugula combines the flavors of breakfast and lunch in a particularly, well, brunchy way. Meanwhile, the Reuben skillet ($15) offers a playful take on the classic sandwich, with the traditional pastrami (made in-house), sauerkraut and Thousand Island dressing served with Gruyère cheese, hash browns and a fried egg.

Drink This: Unlimited mimosas for $15? Yes, please.

Know Before You Go: The restaurant hosts a weekly "BBQ & Bourbon" brunch on Sundays, featuring a special smoked-meats-and-more menu and live music from noon to 3 PM.
