Sure, you've had sliders before - those miniature burgers or other sandwiches, often served in multiples. With so many excellent specimens available at the current crop of Austin restaurants, we’re declaring this the week of the slider, with a new slider to try every day. We’ll profile local sliders that will remind you just why they became so popular in the first place.
Last but not least this week are the Wagyu beef sliders at Vino Vino. Choose between a more-traditional version (pictured) with aged Vermont cheddar, butter lettuce, pickled onions and mustard, and a newfangledly delicious one with fourme d’ambert and shallot confit. Both come on buttery toasted buns. Either way, be sure you get a glass of wine (or two or three) from the carefully curated wine list.
