We’re not usually a fan of beef cheeks, but chef Andrew Francisco’s new Malaysian trailer at Rainey Street’s Container Bar changed our mind. The tender, marinated hunks of pork didn’t taste gamey or fatty, and we're sure that's thanks to Francisco’s skill.
The chef grew up in Malaysia, and he’s brought some authentic treats to town, like the pork cheeks served with pan-fried, thin egg noodles, pickled shitakes and a bit of cabbage, as well as shrimp fried rice with shrimp crackers. Also find trademark trailer food like an enormous basket of fries as well as a brisket curry wrap, served in grilled paratha.
