Carillon’s Josh Watkins Wins Smoke Competition at ICC

Chef Josh Watkins and his team from the Carillon smoked the competition this past weekend at the International Chef’s Congress in New York City. The inaugural Smoke@ICC barbecue competition pitted 10 teams against one another, and though other Texans competed (like Jason Dady out of San Antonio), the Austinites showed them who’s boss. Food writer Josh Ozersky, who is coming to Texas for Meatopia in November, was psyched, saying on Twitter to “Watch out for Watkins – The man is a juggernaut!”
