Merry Edwards isn’t from Texas, but she and her wines have been chosen as the featured wine maker at the Wine and Food Foundation of Texas’ 29th Annual Rare and Fine Wine Auction. The auction will be held on March 22 at the downtown Four Seasons and cost a hefty $250 per person (or $2,500 for a table of 12). However, you don’t have to spend a few hundred to try these fine wines, which won the vintner a James Beard award, among many other accolades. Look for the wines around town at restaurants like Perla’s, Searsucker, 34th Street Café, Fonda San Miguel and Henri’s Cheese.
