If we could tap the veins of most Austinites, we’d probably find craft beer flowing forth. In other words, it’s as much a part of our makeup as breakfast tacos and barbecue. Fortunately, there are more than a few new places to refill and relax, including these seven instant hangout spots.

Independence Brewing
Why It’s Hot: A local favorite, the microbrewery just renovated and re-opened its tasting-room doors, serving flights and full-size pints.

Gourdough’s Public House Downtown
Why It’s Hot: The new Downtown location of Gourdough’s Public House means you get big, fat donuts and craft beer without driving down to South Lamar.
