Thursday Night Out: Barbecue and Art

By Megan Giller | October 10, 2013 By Megan Giller  |  October 10, 2013

Tonight there are two fun events happening in the ATX food world. Too bad cloning technology isn't up to snuff yet.

Check out Art Bites, where some of Austin’s best chefs (Mat Clouser from Swift’s Attic, Larry McGuire from Perla’s and Jeffrey’s, among others) will be creating custom light bites inspired by the pieces of art from the Russell Collection’s archives. The event benefits the Austin Food and Wine Alliance, and tickets are $25 (Russell Collection Gallery, 1137 W. Sixth St., 6-8 PM).

North Austin
Stiles Switch BBQ is hosting their first Live at the Switch music event. The Patton Sparks Band is kicking it off, and you can look forward to more live music in weeks to come, plus darn good barbecue and craft beer (6610 N. Lamar Blvd., 6 PM).
