Whoever said "too many chefs spoil the stew" didn't have fund-raising in mind. When it comes to raising money for an important cause, two toques are always better than one, and a dozen? Even better. Running Saturday, September 21 through Sunday, September 29, a stellar lineup has partnered for Food For Thought, a dining out benefit for the local chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. And what a crew it is: chaired by Catalyst chef William Kovel, Food for Thought unites big names like (left to right) Dante de Magistris (Restaurant dante), Jason Santos (Blue Inc.), Chris Coombs (Deuxave), Dan Raia (chef de cuisine at Sweet Cheeks, repped in the promotional image by Tiffani Faison), Evan Mallett (Black Trumpet Bistro) and Brendan Pelley (Zebra's Bistro). Other participating chefs and their restaurants are: Joanne Chang (Myers + Chang), Jeff Fournier (51 Lincoln), Matt Louis (Moxy), Jacky Robert (Petit Robert Bistro), Mark Sapienza (Langham Hotel) and Josh Smith (Moody's Delicatessen & Provisions). Each spot will designate a special menu item for the week that delivers proceeds to the Alzheimer's Association.
