Designer Shows Off Back Bay Harry's, Opening Friday

By Scott Kearnan  |  October 16, 2013

Finally! Though it will host an invite-only opening party tomorrow night, chef Jason Santos' latest, Back Bay Harry's, starts serving to the public on Friday. (If you want to whet your appetite, refresh your memory of the menu with our early look here.) The Hell's Kitchen runner-up isn't the only food TV personality involved; Boston-based designer Taniya Nayak, who regularly lends her skills to the Food Network's Restaurant Impossible, is responsible for the interior of the space. (Her other local work includes three other Santos spots: Abby Lane, Blue Inc. and Julep.)The former home of Geoffrey's Cafe received an entire redo (think old Hollywood-meets-modern glam), with lots of tufted seating, chevron patterns and one big illuminated wine case. Hat tip to UrbanDaddy for this look at the final product, but we're also loving the dramatic B&W before and after shots that Nayak has been posting to her Tumblr page. Check them out, then plan to head in for happy hour to kick off your weekend. Happy housewarming, Harry's.
