Legal C Bar ExpandsBy Scott Kearnan

The last couple years have seen Boston-based Legal Sea Foods testing new waters with some of its more conceptual locations. It introduced the three-floor Legal Harborside, which managed to stake a claim as a bona fide social scene in the Seaport. It announced its upcoming Legal Crossing (LX), a more upscaled approach, will serve as the ground floor anchor to the 15-story luxury residence building Milennium Place. And now it's expanding its casual and contemporary, urban-goes-suburban brand Legal C Bar. Following two South Shore locations in Dedham and Hingham (which just opened in May), Legal C Bar will open its first North Shore spot at MarketStreet in Lynnfield, the same outdoor shopping-dining destination that just attracted the latest from Davio's. Slated to open in mid-October, this Legal C Bar will seat 260 (nearly a third of that at its big bar) with sidewalk patio seating. Menu-wise, expect more of the C Bar spin-off's focus on shareable shelled things and other casual fare: clams, cod, calamari. C you in October.
