New Food Trucks, Trina's Team Heads to Audubon

Trina's team heads into Boston. The team behind beloved Somerville hangouts Trina's Starlite Lounge and Parlor Sports are bringing their magic touch (and knack for amazing cocktails) to Boston. "Restaurant Hub" reports that the Trina's crew will be taking over Audubon Circle, a long-underrated neighborhood hangout not far from Fenway. Opening this Spring as Audubon (minus the Circle), the restaurant will also feature faces previously seen at Kirkland Tap & Trotter and Coppa behind its bar. We have a feeling we'll be counting ourselves among the regulars on the other side, soon enough. 

New food trucks on the horizon. A popular downtown Greek is launching a food truck when the new season of roving edible purveyors rolls out on April 1. Zo, a take-out spot known for killer gyros, will hit the road with a "Zo on the Go" truck. Also joining the new fleet: Moyzilla and Stoked Wood Fired Pizza. The former will serve yakitori and creative dumplings, while the latter truck will be hauling around its own built-in pizza oven for firing up pies.  

Persian New Year. Chef Josh Lewin (pictured) of Beacon Hill Hotel & Bistro, one of our recent 30 Under 30 honorees, is teaming up with Belly Wine Bar's Katrina Jazayeri for a celebration of Persian cuisine on Sunday, March 23 at 6:30 PM. Hosted in collaboration with Jewish pop-up Kitchen Kibitz, Sofra Bakery's Geoff Lukas and The New Persian Kitchen author Louisa Shafia the dinner will include a multi-course tasting menu with caviar service, fine dining takes on traditional Nowruz meals, and a "crash course in Persian flavors, cooking and tradition." VIP tickets for the dinner at Anthony's Functions in Somerville are $125, available here, and available only to the first 12 buyers. (They also include a signed copy of Shafia's book.) There are also $35 tickets that serve as admission to a post-dinner cocktail reception at 8:30 PM.
