Piattini Launches Wine Label, Expands Bar License

Good news for fans of Newbury Street's Piattini: the 12-year-old restaurant just obtained an expanded license for cordials, allowing it to introduce its very first cocktail menu. The dozen-plus new additions include martinis (like the "Pia-Tea-Ni," sweet tea vodka with Limoncello, and "Goin' Stag," cherry bourbon with sweet vermouth) and margaritas (including a peach purée variety that shoud make for sweet sipping). But don't think that the restaurant will be slacking on its long-appreciated wine offerings. In fact, this month Piattini will launch its own private label, Italian-made wine. Details are still coming in, but expect three varieties (one white, two reds) exclusive to the spot to land on its wine list this month.
