It’s hard to keep a secret — and once you add a little Scotch, it’s sure to come spilling out. Our full list of #Boston30under30 honorees, an annual roundup of the Hub's bright young food talent, will be announced soon.
But here’s a taste to whet your appetite: On Wednesday, December 11 from 6:30-9:30 PM, you can take part in an exclusive “Scotch & Supper” event that kicks off at Kenmore Square cocktail den The Hawthorne, where one of our #Boston30under30 honorees, bar manager Katie Emmerson (pictured), will guide you through a hands-on Scotch cocktail class. Since Emmerson recently ushered The Hawthorne to a finalist position for Best American Cocktail Bar at the 2013 Tales of the Cocktail, we have no doubt you’ll be in good hands. And afterward, you’ll feast on seasonal New England cuisine, oysters and wine at neighboring Eastern Standard: home court of #Boston30under30 honoree Molly Hopper Sandrof, director of talent and staff development. You’ll experience firsthand the food and service that Sandrof and her team work hard to make (and keep) topnotch.
