Sneak Peek: Alden & Harlow at Flavors of FallBy Scott Kearnan
November 6, 2013 By Scott Kearnan | November 6, 2013
Chef Michael Scelfo (ex Russell House Tavern) can lay claim to one of the most anticipated openings of the year. Foodies have been waiting with bated breath for the kitchen to start up at Alden & Harlow, his opening-any-day-now American in Harvard Square. But ticket holders to the 10th annual Flavors of Fall, going down at Regattabar on Monday, November 11, will have a chance to taste-test his latest, since Alden & Harlow will be one of more than a dozen Cambridge and Somerville restaurants serving up seasonal specialties from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Others include Henrietta's Table, Sandrine's Bistro, Rialto, West Bridge, and the soon-to-close UpStairs on the Square (sniffle). Plus there will be wine, artisanal cheese, freshly shucked Island Creek Oysters, a silent auction and live music. The $75 tickets (available here) benefit Community Cooks, an organization offering home-cooked meals to the hungry.
