Celebrate Memorial Day with a brunch at Publican Quality Meats. The restaurant will be open on a rare Monday with "nacho-quiles" (nacho sausage, tortillas, queso fresco and cilantro) as well as schnitzel and biscuits (pork schnitzel and buttermilk biscuit) from 10 AM to 4 PM (312-445-8977).

At 7 PM, it’s an oyster social at Bow & Stern, starring several varieties of East and West Coast fresh-shucked oysters along with sparkling and non-sparkling wines. The four-course dinner showcases other interpretations of oyster, such as Wagyu beef with asparagus, smashed potatoes and béarnaise popcorn-fried oysters. Each course is paired with a glass of wine or cocktail, and seats cost $65 (312-988-0644).
In 2012, Moto launched its Chicago Foodies’ Unique Dinner Series with 16 courses of black. At 7 PM, the series returns with 13 courses of white. The innovative dinner will be held in Moto’s lab with course after course of pure white food. The evening will be limited to 24 diners and costs $225. Request reservations at RSVP@chicagofoodies.com.
