Blackfinn Ameripub Kicks Off in River NorthBy Sarah Freeman | September 19, 2013 By Sarah Freeman | September 19, 2013
Just in time for football season, a new sports bar slash casual American eatery is now serving River North's hearty eaters and heavy drinkers. Blackfinn Ameripub offers a taste of everything, from flatbreads to bacon-wrapped meatloaf, and 100 beers on tap. The restaurant is open for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, with a menu that defies classification. Brunch boasts bacon marys, crab cake benedicts and western omelets, while $10 weekday lunch options include fish tacos and cheese steak sandwiches. Dinner reads like an all-you-can-eat buffet with pasta, burgers, salads, chicken, steak and seafood.
The space, on the corner of Kinzie and Hubbard, features a dining room and an oval-shaped bar and lounge area that can be converted into a dance floor. TVs and cocktails on tap round out the offerings.
