We’ve got one last and very special grilled cheese for you on this gloomy, rainy, disgusting day. Little Market continues its Melts for Meals monthly campaign with the Spanish Bikini Sandwich, designed by guest chef Cory Morris of Mercat a la Planxa. Available through the end of the month, it starts with two slices of brioche topped with housemade black pepper and rosemary-peach jam and black truffle butter. The cheese of choice is Manchego and the finishing touch is Serrano ham.
“As the month of November brings in cool air and the possibility of snow to Chicago, a grilled cheese is the perfect meal to warm the body back up,” said Morris. “The Melts for Meals campaign with Little Market is a great way to satisfy those seasonal cravings while raising money for a special charity at the same time.”
Each sandwich is sold for $14.50 and a portion of proceeds benefit Meals on Wheels, a charity that provides home-meal deliveries for homebound seniors and Chicagoans with disabilities. The Bikini Sandwich is served until the end of the month, at which time another guest chef grilled cheese will take its place.
