Next Releases Chicago Steak Menu Trailer

While the notoriously difficult-to-get-into restaurant is having a hard time selling tickets to its most recent menu (Chicago Steak), Next released a teaser video to bring the theme to life. The menu, which launched last night, will transform the Fulton Market restaurant into an old-school steakhouse. The video, directed by Christian Seel, suggests that it will offer much more than just large pieces of beef. The film revolves around an epic poker game between Grant Achatz, Nick Kokonas and David Beran, in which chips are thrown, wine is spilled and Pappy Van Winkle is chugged. In terms of food, the video shows that there will be lots of meat and lobster, while previews released via Twitter also point to elevated versions of crudité as well as salads served over ice blocks. Overall, the short film encourages a bit of debauchery at the upscale restaurant, with a sommelier drinking straight out of a wine bottle and a bartender pouring vodka martinis spiked with a concealed dropper of bitters. The raucous scene is appropriately set to Frank Sinatra’s “Fly Me To The Moon.” And tickets, as we said, are still available.
