Three Dots and a Dash and The Aviary Take Top Honors at Tales of the Cocktail

Every July, thousands of bartenders and spirits slingers travel to New Orleans for Tales of the Cocktail and back home, we switch our drink of choice to beer during the five-day cocktail conference. In addition to copious amounts of boozing, The Spirited Awards are also held during the event. Awards are given for outstanding bartender, bar and cocktail menu in both national and international categories as well as awards for writing. Chicago walked away with two wins. The first was in the Best New American Cocktail Bar category where Paul McGee and the team at Three Dots and a Dash were honored. The second win was for the World’s Best Cocktail Menu, which went to The Aviary for its innovative approach to making and serving drinks. A well-deserved cheers goes out to all of our boozy comrades.
