Urban Belly Reopens in the West Loop

Bill Kim’s noodle sanctuary has a new home in the former to-go area of Belly Q. Urban Belly reopened today with an open kitchen, communal tables and bar seating that overlooks Randolph Street. The main seating area is located in Belly Q's former private dining room and features a “living wall” of lush greenery.

Most of Urban Belly’s menu remains the same, with signature items such as kimchi stew and Urban Belly ramen. New menu additions include beef brisket stir fry, Wagyu beef dumplings and Belly Fire fried chicken. The restaurant also added a kids menu for little bellies, and later this month will expand to offer carry-out and delivery.

The restaurant is breaking its five-year tradition of being BYOB by adding a beverage menu with a selection of Japanese beer, red and white wine on tap, bombers and Funaguchi sake. One day a week, the restaurant will return to its roots with BYO Sundays.
