Where to Brunch This Weekend: Drinkingbird

By Sarah Freeman | November 15, 2013 By Sarah Freeman  |  November 15, 2013

Did you know that retro cocktail lounge, The Drinkingbird, serves an equally nostalgic lunch menu? Dishes like Elvis pancakes (buckwheat pancakes, bacon lardons, bananas flambé and crunchy peanut maple syrup) are staples on the menu, which debuted earlier this fall. It's going to be a wet one this weekend, so hole up among the leather booths and 1960s decor with a plate of pigs in a blanket or eggs benedict with Canadian bacon, fennel, sweet onion and mustard hollandaise before heading over to a movie at Webster Theater. Just because we're telling you to bunch here does not mean you get to ignore the fact that this is first and foremost a bar - get a cocktail with those pancakes. Brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 AM to 3 PM.
