Chipotle Finally Gets Bacon-Free Beans

By Kelly Dobkin | September 24, 2013 By Kelly Dobkin  |  September 24, 2013

Vegetarian fans of Chipotle are finally getting their beans - bacon-free pinto beans to be exact - at Chipotle outposts around the U.S. Two years after the chain had to change its signage (due to complaints) to let customers know that their beans contained pork, the chain announced that it was now offering pork-free beans, according to Consumerist. The new beans are slowly being phased into locations nationwide. Chipotle has been working to expand vegetarian options of late, making its sofritas (tofu) burrito available in more locations as well. [Consumerist]
