Do you prefer carnitas burritos and guac to turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce? Gourmet megabrand Chipotle is now offering catering nationwide in anticipation of the holiday season (today through December 31). Their packages can feed 20 more and even better - you'll get two free burritos, bowls, tacos or salads when you present your catering receipt at any location before January 31, 2014.
Here are the menu options: the Taco and Burrito Bowl Spread can be ordered with two or three meats (including Responsibly Raised® grilled chicken or steak, and shredded barbacoa or carnitas) and comes with sides, including cilantro-lime rice, pinto and black beans, fresh salsas, house-made guacamole, cheese and sour cream. For less food, opt for the chips and salsa menu with hand-mashed guacamole, fresh tomato salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, tomatillo-green chili salsa, and tomatillo-red chili salsa. For smaller catering orders (of six or more), there's the Burritos by the Box option, which allows customers to mix and match their choice of chicken, steak, carnitas, barbacoa or vegetarian burritos including white or brown cilantro-lime rice, vegetarian black beans, mild fresh tomato salsa and cheese. Burritos by the Box orders also come with a bag of chips, tomatillo-green chili salsa, guacamole and sour cream for every two burritos ordered.
To order, call 800-CHIPOTLE. Orders must be placed at least 24 hours ahead of pick-up time. Burritos by the Box is currently the only catering option available in New York City (the five boroughs) but there are plans to roll out full catering spreads in 2014. New York City Burritos by the Box orders can be placed directly with the restaurants.
