Yesterday, the James Beard Foundation — which awards the Oscars of the food world — announced this year's 10-city tour called Taste America, in which Beard-honored all-stars team with prominent local chefs to host luxurious dinners. And Dallas is one of the stops.
The Hilton Anatole will host A Night of Culinary Stars on September 26. The evening starts with a tasting reception of nibbles from David Uygur (Lucia), Tim Byres (Smoke), Janice Provost (Parigi), Matt McCallister (FT33) and Omar Flores (Casa Rubia) and culmiates in a four-course dinner tag-teamed by Taste America All-Star Patrick O’Connell (Inn at Little Washington in Virginia) and Local Star Stephan Pyles (Stampede 66, San Salvaje). Proceeds from the $500-a-head meal benefit the foundation along with local culinary nonprofit Café Momentum. Tickets are on sale here. (Check out some of last year's Taste America dinners here.)
