This will come as a shock to no one, but December happens to be National Eggnog Month. Forgo the carton-packaged grocery store variety (you know, because it’s alcohol-free) and celebrate with good taste. Rathbun’s Blue Plate Kitchen has concocted an eggnog martini that seems primed to make you want to haul out the holly. With Maker’s Mark bourbon, cream, sugar, eggs and a touch of nutmeg for a hint of spice, it certainly gets the classic ingredients right. When you’re ready to head over to the Preston Center restaurant to sample it for yourself, you’ll feel rather holly-jolly over the special price, too: $5 through the end of December.
