What to Order at Dallas' Newest Gastropub Brunch

Henry's Majestic just opened in Uptown on Tuesday, and we got to sample the new gastropub's brunch ahead of its launch this weekend. We found a modern menu that loosely sticks to classics but tweaks them enough to make them seem fresh. Here are dishes that stood out.

Warm Sour Cream Coffee Cake
This inviting pastry arrives piping-hot with streusel, glaze and raspberries on top. A tender crumb and comforting flavor make for a tasty start.

Avocado Toast
While simple in its construction — avocado slices dress up thick slabs of smoky, griddled toast — this plate is a sensation of flavors and textures. The black sea salt sprinkles wake up the senses.

Biscuits and Gravy
Moist buttermilk biscuits were drenched in peppery cream gravy dotted with Miller's maple-blueberry sausage links, a fine example of an old favorite given a nice new twist.

Al Pastor Pork Benedict
The classic gets a Mexican cuisine boost from spicy-sweet pork bits and eggs served atop crispy arepas.

Peppered Pastrami Hash
House-cured pastrami cubes pair wonderfully with leek-flavored potatoes, both of which are topped with eggs cooked your way (above).

Pork Belly Bowl
Slices of juicy belly come alongside Stone Mill grits and Vital Farm eggs; a drizzle of huckleberry sauce brings a touch of sweetness.
