Guy Fieri to Host Guy's Grocery Games on Food Network
Another food TV update this afternoon: Guy Fieri is getting yet another TV show, and similar to Michael Chiarello's Supermarket Superstar, this one involves grocery stores. Guy's Grocery Games will premiere Sunday, October 20 at 8 PM ET/PT on The Food Network. Here's the premise: "Set in a grocery store, four talented chefs compete against each other through three cooking challenges, as they must navigate their way through the aisles adhering to a number of 'real-world' culinary challenges to create tasty dishes. The chefs must rely on their improvisation, gamesmanship and culinary skills for a chance to win up to $20,000." The rotating roster of celebrity chef judges will include Richard Blais, Melissa d'Arabian, Marcela Valladolid and Jet Tila among others. In a press statement Fieri revealed that he is "really stoked to be hosting GGG, where it's all about cookin' and shoppin' against the clock." Always on message, Guy.
