Best Thing We Ate: Chicken-Fried Oyster TacoBy Amber Ambrose

There's no such thing as too many oysters. At least that's our motto when it comes to the current season. Our love for both the bivalves and Fusion Taco collided when we discovered their chicken-fried oyster taco (pictured on the right, with the also-delicious lamb keema taco on the left).
Three plump oysters coated in a heavy batter are wrapped in a corn tortilla and topped with a hot sauce full of that vinegar bite we love so much. It's usually served on a celery root slaw, but this time came with strips of romaine lettuce dressed in a creamy sauce. We didn't notice a difference, and still 'oohed' and 'awwed' over each bite as if we'd never tasted a fried oyster before. Fusion Taco can do no wrong, and this taco is just one of the many reasons we keep on coming back. (The fried chicken banh mi is yet another.)
Come for lunch: Two tacos and a generously portioned side are $9.95 on weekdays from 11 AM to 2 PM.
