Vive la France: March to Bastille Day on July 14 with these dining events.

Simply utter the words, “Happy Bastille Day,” at any of the local area cafes and a free mini tart is yours for the taking (July 14).

Etoile Cuisine et Bar
Guest chef Philippe Schmit joins chef Philippe Verpiand for a four-course French feast including tarte de chèvre frais (a goat cheese tart filled with ratatouille and tapenade coulis), Alaskan halibut, roasted duck, and strawberry mousse and fromage blanc sorbet (July 14; $78 per person).

Bistro Provence
Enjoy a three-course dinner inspired by the colors of the French flag (red, white and blue). On the menu: heirloom tomato carpaccio with blue cheese; chateaubriand with white Béarnaise sauce; coq au vin rouge in red wine sauce; and a blue, white and red tarte (July 14; pricing is a la carte).
