Punk’s Simple Southern Food in Rice Village prides itself on its Southern roots and use of fresh ingredients. That all comes together in the seasonal Farmerita ($6), a margarita that features the farm-picked flavors of fall. The bright orange, brunch-only pour is a mix of organic carrot juice, tequila, agave and lime, finished with a classic salt rim and two not-so-traditional garnishes: a whole carrot and greens. Pair with any of the piping hot biscuit dishes or the low-country benedict for the perfect weekend wake-up call.
