Cheat Sheet: The Pudding Bar — A Dessert-Only RestaurantBy Malika Dalamal

The Gist: Skip straight to the best bit of any meal at this new restaurant where they only serve dessert and wine. The trio behind this Soho pop-up (open until October) includes pastry chef Laura Hallwood, who previously worked at The Savoy and the Gordon Ramsay Group.
The Vibe: Set over three floors in Soho, it has a ground-floor cafe, while the upstairs is a quiet, candlelit space where they take booking for dessert and wine pairing evenings.
Drink This: Dessert wines like Maury Grenat — a Pyrenean red served chilled. (£5/glass)
Eat This: They aim to change the menu weekly but for now don't miss the Choux Buns (£6) — profiteroles filled with chocolate cream, drizzled with caramel sauce and topped with pistachios. And the S'mores Cheesecake (£8) — made with milk chocolate on a ginger biscuit base and served with peanut butter ice cream — is worth every calorific bite.
Skip This: Calorie counting — don't ruin all the fun.
The Damage: Approximately £15- £20 per person.
The Verdict: A great new spot, perfect for a post-theatre outing, late-night munchies or a romantic first date.
