Where to Eat in Queen's Park: Best Restaurants, Pubs and More

If Queen's Park is really the new Notting Hill, they need the restaurants to prove it. We took a look around this northwest neighbourhood to see what's cooking.

Ostuni Bar Ristorante
This recently opened Puglian restaurant (pictured) feels authentically Italian perhaps because of its location on a charming side street with plenty of alfresco seating but also thanks to sharing plates of top-quality Italian produce like buffalo mozzarella, imported charcuterie and seafood specialities like the fritto misto or orrecchiette with bitter Puglian rape greens, salted anchovy and chilli.

Queen's Park Farmers' Market
It might not be a restaurant but this weekly farmer's market (every Sunday from 10 AM-2 PM) is one of the best places to eat and buy produce in London. Based in the car park of a local school, you will find an extensive selection of free range and organic meats, seasonal vegetables and fruits, fresh juices, sandwiches, home-baked cakes, tarts and much more.
Salusbury Primary Sch., Salusbury Rd., NW6 6RG

This local favourite has been around since before Queen's Park underwent its transformation - although until recently it was an organic cafe. Loyal locals are particularly fond of breakfast and the Sunday roast - although it is open for lunch and dinner as well. Expect a menu of Modern European and British dishes made with quality ingredients in a charming and rustic setting.

The presence of this all-day cafe and bakery chain on Salusbury Road is a sure sign that the area is in the advanced stages of gentrification. You will find the same tempting display of cakes, pastries and takeaway salads as other branches around town as well as a gathering of local mothers and strollers.

The Salusbury Pub and Dining Room
This modern gastropub serves homemade Italian food alongside an extensive local wine list. Favourites include pappardelle with duck ragu and their famous Sunday roasts. And don't miss The Salusbury Foodstore next door - a deli, pizzeria and cafe with an excellent selection of pastries, salads and even gluten-free pizza.
