800 Degrees Expansion Includes Pasadena, Downtown LABy Lesley Balla | October 30, 2013 By Lesley Balla | October 30, 2013
Much like the proliferation of Umami Burger, the group's pizza concept, 800 Degrees Pizzeria, is poised to burn up the LA dining scene. With 10 new locations planned to open by 2014, the rollout has begun: The LAX location just started serving at the new Tom Bradley International Terminal, and the Santa Monica location should open by December. Rumor has it that one outpost is slated for the Louise's Trattoria space at the corner of Colorado Boulevard and Fair Oaks in Old Town Pasadena, and 800 Degrees has dibs on the former Provecho space at 800 Wilshire in the heart of the Financial District downtown. That location will have a full bar and a separate space for grab-and-go and 800 Degree-branded products like canned Marzano tomatoes, peppers and panuozzos (very similar to 800 To-Go). The target for the 800 Wilshire debut is summer of 2014, and the company is eyeing spaces around Hollywood, Studio City, Marina del Rey, Orange County, San Diego, New York and more next.
