With all of the amazing new (and old) food stalls at the Grand Central Market downtown - pizza from Olio, pastrami from Wexler's, egg-topped burgers from Eggslut, sausages from Berlin Currywurst and so much more - the one thing that seemed to be missing was beer and wine. But thanks to Horse Thief BBQ, that's no longer an issue. The barbecue stand on the Hill Street side of the building is now serving 10 beers on tap and wine by the glass from a walk-up bar next to the take-out window. That means you can now get Texas' own Shiner Bock or White Wing on tap, along with Stone, Smog City and more, plus wines that pair with that delicious brisket and other smoked meats. Along with beer and brisket on the patio comes new hours for the restaurant, which is now open 11 AM-6 PM daily, with plans to extend dinner service during the summer.
Next to serve beer and wine in the market will be Belcampo Meat Co. and Olio Pizzeria, both of which should begin pouring as early as this month.
