Here’s the list of deals, including cold ramen at Daikokuya, tsukemen at Tsujita and yaki ramen at Shin Sen Gumi, all for under $5.

Canele started a new happy hour, which is similar to the older new happy hour only this time it’s longer (from 5-7 PM) and discounts are on select dishes vs. half-price off the entire menu. Red and white wine by the glass are only $5, bubbles are $7, snacks like olives and almonds are $4, and the chicken liver pate, brandade and assorted crostini are $7. Chef Jimmy Shaw celebrates Mexican wine with a couple of dinners at Loteria Grill this week. Tonight at Loteria Hollywood, he and Tijuana chef Javier Plascencia will cook an eight-course menu to be paired with wines from Baja. Maite Gomez-Rejon from Artbites will give a talk on the history of Mexican wine, and KCRW DJ Raul Campos will add some vibes to the night. Tickets are $75 per person. On Thursday at Loteria Santa Monica, the two chefs throw a more casual street-food affair with a walk-around tasting throughout the Third Street Promenade spot. Festivities begin at 4:30 PM; tickets are $45 per person. Get tickets for both right here.
Thursday, June 5
What's a vegan who loves a meat-eater to do? Go with it. Chef Ayinde Howell and Zoe Eisenberg, the duo behind The Lusty Vegan, a forthcoming cookbook and advice guide for vegans dating non-vegans, will host a pop-up at the G2 Gallery in Venice tonight. The five-course dinner includes dishes like balsamic and truffle mac and yeast (oh, how we can hear Annie Hall's Alvy Singer now...), citrus-pickled fennel salad, hearts of palm "crab cakes" and strawberry shortcake with ice cream. Tickets are $65 per person, or $95 with wine pairings. 7 PM. Make reservations here (1503 Abbot Kinney Blvd.).
Friday, June 6
All of the Michael's Restaurant Group restaurants, including Michael's on Naples, Michael's Pizzeria and Chianina Steakhouse in Long Beach, are now serving nose-to-tail (and feather) dishes utilizing pigs, rabbit, quail and lamb from Devil's Gulch Ranch. Check out the new menus starting tonight.
Saturday, June 7
For National Iced Tea Month, the American Tea Room in Beverly Hills will have free samples of various signature drinks throughout June. Think: matcha smoothies, herbal iced teas and horchata, to name a few. The kind of thing you need after shopping around the neighborhood. No purchase necessary to try the Saturday Sipdown samples (401 N. Canon Dr.; 310-271-7922).
Sunday, June 8
