Hump Day Happy Hour: Sotto

By Lesley Balla | June 25, 2014 By Lesley Balla  |  June 25, 2014

Aperitivo hour is upon us. And one favorite new hang for the summer is Sotto, the Beverlywood-adjacent Italian spot from Steve and Dina Samson and Bill Chait. It's right on the border of Beverly Hills and Century City. Julian Cox and his barmates have come up with some refreshing sippers for the warmer months, all only $8 from 5:30-7 PM, Monday through Friday. The menu features classics like the Gold Rush, made with Buffalo Trace, lemon and honey; an Italian Paloma made with tequila, grapefruit and other citrus, and Campari; a delicious Aperol and gin drink; and stirred favorites like the Little Italy and Vesper. With drinks at this price, splurging on a guanciale and fennel pollen pizza, a baby kale salad or rigatoni with chicken liver ragu is that much easier. Dinner service begins at 5:30 PM and the full menu is available at the bar.
