When José Andrés, opened The Bazaar at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, it was one of the most energetic, unique and lavish spaces in town. The open layout, the different decor in each room and concept, the glitz, gloss and whole jamon Iberico hams - it was frenetic and exciting and delicious. It's still sort of a culinary wonderland where locals take visitors for things like salt "air" margaritas and "Philly cheesesteaks" made with puffed cracker bread filled with oozing cheese and topped with Wagyu beef. Five years in and Andres is now talking about expanding the Bazaar into the lobby retail space, according to the LA Times. And Saam, the semi-priviate dining room where extravagant 20-course meals are served, will morph into a concept similar to minibar, the chef's 12-seat Washington D.C. restaurant. There's no real timeline for the transformation, just that "it will happen."
