Monday, January 27
The Grill on the Alley celebrates 30 years as “The Grill,” the unofficial commissary of the entertainment industry, with a special prix fixe menu, including greatest hits like shrimp cocktail, pan-fried Jonh Dory, veal chops and classic rice pudding. Three courses for $68 includes a complimentary glass of Champagne and an amuse bouche. It’s available today through February 2 (9560 Dayton Way; 310-276-0615).

Tuesday, January 28
Florida chef Norman Van Aken takes a mini break from his No Experience Necessary book tour to cook lunch with Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo at Son of a Gun today. The chefs will serve mini corn dogs, oysters Remick, spring rolls, pork chop adobo and mango ice cream. $40 per person and it begins at noon (8370 W. 3rd St.; 323-782-9033).

Wednesday, January 29
Now through Super Bowl Sunday, Epic Brewing Company takes over all 16 taps at Plan Check Fairfax. Beer geeks can sip limited releases from the Salt Lake City brewery, plus beer floats from barman Matt Biancaniello. On Sunday, flights will be $1-$4 and all draft beers will be $2 off (351 N. Thursday, January 30
There are only two days left for DineLA deals. The lunch and dinner restaurant week menus end tomorrow. $85 for dinner at Cut, $45 for dinner and a movie at Arclight? Come on. Get it while you can.

Friday, January 31
For the Korean Lunar New Year, which starts today, Bibigo in Beverly Hlls has a special three-course menu now through February 28. Steamed buns, braised short ribs and Korean sweet pancakes will help ring in the New Year, with a $3 soju pairing to keep the revelry going (225 S. Beverly Dr.; 310-275-0011).

Saturday, February 1
For the Vietnamese Lunar New Year, chef Kimmy Tang of 9021Pho hosts a special spice tour at Eagle Rock’s Seafood City Supermarket. The group meets at 9:30 AM in Glendale, then shuttles to the market for a tour of unique spices and herbs and concludes with lunch at the Glendale outpost of 9021Pho. $25 per person; get tickets here (1164 Glendale Galleria Way).

Sunday, February 2
In addition to the regular offerings at The Churchill on Super Bowl Sunday, find a few special football-friendly foods like chicken wings, charred shisito peppers, snapper tacos, and crispy pig’s ears and dip from 3 PM until the end of the game. All six TVs will be on with the sound up, something this scenester doesn’t usually do (8384 W. 3rd St.; 323-655-8384).
